sara is one of those ladies that you meet and ask yourself, how does she do all that? she is a photographer. she owns a coffee shop. she is active in her community and her coffee seems to appear or make it into conversation at all the hip events and happenings. sara is simply an all-around wonderful person. here’s a little insight into how she gets it all done.
what is the biggest challenge or opportunity you’ve faced and how did it shape who you are?
the biggest challenge when i started my photography business was believing in myself. it was believing that i could start a business that could provide me with enough income to live. i had to find the confidence to believe that my photography was good enough. i needed to believe that i could build my photography brand and reach the people i wanted to work with.
my biggest challenge as the owner and partner at undergrounds coffee house is time. there is never enough time to do all that i want to do, especially with both businesses.
in addition to owning a photography business and coffee shop, i am active in my neighborhood. finding balance in all of my commitments by deciding on what i will do and what i need to let go allows for my businesses and my sanity to remain a priority.
what’s one word, thought, or philosophy that you live by?
